Terms of Service

Last updated October 7, 2026

These terms govern your use of editor.pub at app.editor.pub, operated by Adam Koszek (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

What editor.pub is

A collaborative text editor. Anyone can create a document, share its link, and write together in real time, with optional suggestions from an AI agent and from reviewer personas. Signing in with Google or GitHub is optional.

Who can open a document

A document created without signing in is open to anyone who has its URL and is listed on the home page. A document created while signed in belongs to its creator and starts private: only the owner and the people the owner adds by email can open it, after signing in. The owner may instead open it to anyone with the link. You are responsible for deciding whom you share a document or a link with, and for what you put in a document that others can reach.

Your content

What you write is yours. By putting it in a document you give us permission to store it, transmit it to your collaborators, keep backups, and, only when you ask for suggestions, send it to the AI model providers named in our privacy policy. We claim no other rights to it.

Acceptable use

Do not use editor.pub to store or share content that is illegal, that infringes someone else’s rights, or that you have no right to share; to harass anyone; to distribute malware; or to attack, overload or probe the service. Do not scrape the service or use automated means to create documents or call the AI features in bulk. We may remove content or block access that breaks these rules.

AI suggestions

Suggestions, checks and reviews are produced by language models. They can be wrong, biased or inappropriate. They are offered to help you think, not as facts, professional advice or an endorsement. The decision to accept a suggestion is yours, and so is the result.

Accounts

If you sign in, keep your Google or GitHub account secure; activity under your account is your responsibility. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Availability and changes

editor.pub is a small, evolving service. We may change or discontinue features, or the whole service, at any time. We try to keep documents safe, including through backups, but you should keep your own copy of anything important.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service, which today is nothing.

Termination

We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if the law requires it. You may stop using the service at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The date at the top shows the current version; continued use after a change means you accept it.
